Random Funny

Last night when Sydney and I were on our way home from Target, she was sitting in the back saying bee, bee, bee, bee....over and over again. "Sydney, are you a bee?", "yes, I'm a bee!"...then we proceeded to buzz like a bee. I asked her later if she was a girl..."no, I'm not a girl", "so, are you a turtle?", "no, I'm not a turtle"..."so, really, are you a bee?"..."I'm a bee". And to hear her say it is what is the funniest part...it is moments like those that I really wish I had a tape recorder or video recorder handy to capture her. Later on in the evening she did finally say she was a girl....but for a while we had a bee. :)

Baking cookies....

Sydney sampling the chocolate chips before they were stirred in the dough....YUM!!

"Yum! I need more cookies, mommy!"
Daddy brought home this pheasant hat for me....funny!!
Brrr...it was cold this weekend. Saturday was the JDRF walk at the MOA. My company is one of the sponsors so the whole company comes together to help raise money. This year we had over 270 walkers. I was able to raise $395....$95 more than last year...yeah! Jim and Sydney were suppose to join Christy and I this year, but with it being so cold and Sydney having a cold, we decided it was best they stay home...maybe next year they can join us. Christy and I braved the cold and joined thousands of people for the walk. We had a great time...and after the walk was over we continued to walk while we shopped. We figure since we are already there, we might as well get some shopping in at the MOA since that is about the only time we will go there during the year. Sunday, I spent the day at home with Sydney while Jim went to the Pheasants Forever thing in St. Paul. With it being so cold out, I thought it would be fun to bake cookies with Sydney, for the first time...and fun it was. She loves chocolate...she is definitely my child. haha! She wasn't to sure what to think about the mixer...but had fun helping me pour in stuff and stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips. And she of course loved eating the chocolate chips and helping eat the cookies when they came out of the oven. YUM YUM!! We will definitely be doing a little more baking as she gets older... :)

Watching Sydney play

I love watching Sydney play...just some random shots of her playing with her little peoples. Bo got in on the picture taking too.

Birthday Party

We celebrated Sydney's birthday with family and friends on Saturday, Jan. 5th. Grandma (my mom), Auntie Deb, Uncle Brad, Shelby, Jeremy, Auntie Lorla, Auntie Christy and Jeff were all able to join us. (Grandma & Grandpa Jagow weren't able to join us because Grandpa had the flu and Granpa Joe ((my dad)) had to work.) We ended up having an Elmo / Sesame Street themed party...we originally wanted Clifford the Big Red Dog...but that was next to impossible to find anything! Sydney had (and still is) so much fun with her balloons. She loved the cake (complete opposite from last year) and got even more great gifts...including a sled and an elmo purse with her very own "lipstick"....too cute!

Christmas with the Jagow's

On New Years Day we celebrated Christmas with Jim's family at his parents house. Sydney had a great time playing with all of her cousins and even took a nap while we were there! We all had a great time, as usual. It's amazing seeing how much each of the kids have grown up these past few years! I remember when I joined the family 6 years ago....oh, how everyone has changed...it has been fun seeing all the changes!

What a ham!For Jim's parents all of us went together and had a picture of the family from their 50th wedding anniversary made into a blanket...super cool! It was a hit!
