Christmas Tree 2008

We finally decorated the house and our tree this weekend! Sydney had so much fun doing it this year. It has been fun watching her understand Christmas this year.

Cute picture of Sydney...but her hair looks funny! She does have bangs...in fact we are growing them out....what a painful process even for a two / almost three year old! :) I'm in love with my new camera!!

Before we started putting the decorations on

She likes wearing the Santa hat and Reindeer antlers together...funny!! She thought was supposed to wearing the stockings! :) Our Tree!! I love it....I love white lights, Jim loves colored lights (I like them too...but like the white more). Going forward we will alternate years....colored next, white the following, etc. Still in love with my camera!!

Random pictures

Terese had us girls (Ali, Christy & I) over for a girls night. I didn't get any pictures of us...but I couldn't help but take some pictures of this cutie...Adeline! She is so cute!
"So big!"
These two pictures crack me up every time I see them...Christy and Lora found these while we were shopping (they are supposed to go over your front porch light)
Me & Christy....the other funny thing about these photo's is that although you can't see out of these, we were still smiling as if the camera could see our smile!)Snug as a bug!
We had my work holiday party on Saturday (12/13). We had dinner at Wasabi and then went to the "A Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol" at Hennipen Stages. Lots of fun!!

Visting Comet....

We went to Bachman's open house a few weeks back so Sydney could see a reindeer....as you can tell from the pictures, she enjoyed it!

Good thing he was in the pen, because he was sure watching me. :)
"Hi Comet!" (I love this picture)

Jagow Thanksgiving 2008

We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day this year with Jim's family. All 14 of us were there. Kyle came back from school (in Wyoming) for a quick visit home. That was a nice surprise, since we didn't think we would see him until Christmas. Sydney had SO much fun with all of her cousins. And for Jim and I this was the first Thanksgiving since Sydney was born, that we didn't have to keep an eye on every one of her moves. She was able to play anywhere with her cousins and we were able to enjoy some adult conversations.

This is a rare shot...I only have a couple pictures of Kyle and Sydney together.
Kyle is so good with her.
Another rare shot....since I am always the one taking the pictures, I hardly have any of Sydney and me. I love this shot...
Fun shot of Sydney eatting pumpkin pudding...a Jagow tradition
Jeremy & Sydney - he is all boy, but he is so stinkin sweet to Sydney
Shelby & Sydney
Sydney being silly.....but a good shot of them!

How time flies.....

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is only a week and a half away....and then Christmas. For me the next three weeks are going to be super busy, as it is time for the year end reviews for the team that I supervise. For those of you that know me (and I am sure anyone that supervises / manages), I hate doing these reviews. The thankful part of this, is that this is the last time I have to do them. Why? Because this team is being transitioned to a new manager and the main part of my job (Education / Training) will be transitioning as well to focus more on what I love to do....Educate and Train! I never had an interest in supervising before, but somehow ended up doing it. I can honestly say that I have done it and know that I don't have any interest in doing it again. Let's just say, I can't wait until Dec. 5th...the reviews and year end meeting will be over.

Another reason I am excited for Dec. 5th is because I am going to Rochester for a girls weekend / Christmas shopping with Christy & Lora. Sydney is going to Austin to my mom's and Kathy's (Christy & Lora's mom). I really can't wait!

This past weekend, Christy and I went to Camp Shamineau for our annual Fall Scrapbooking weekend. We did our normal stops at Micheal's and Albertville....both were successful. Then it was on to Shamineau. I was pleased with the amount of pages that I got done (26) and where I am at in my book and in Sydney's book. I have completed Sydney's first year book! And I have completed all of 2005 in my book. I almost liked that I was behind in Sydney's book, because I was able to take all the pictures from 2006 and clump a bunch of them together into certain pages, rather do them all chronological , which is what I am used to doing in all my books. I have started Sydney's 2007 book, but I am thinking about doing the same for that year as I did for 2006....the book goes by so much faster when I do that. Plus, if anyone is like me (which I know most are), you have a million random pictures of your kid(s) and you think they are all great...but how in the world would you scrapbook all of them? We had a great time (as usual), we had great table mates and great roommates. The sleep for the weekend was minimal, but I got a lot of pages done....and that was my goal! I don't have any scrapbooking plans until after the first of the year. I hope to do a ABC album for Sydney, as she really enjoys looking at the album at my mom's. We looked at her album last night, but she quickly lost interest as it was a lot of pages...for her little is better.

Speaking of Sydney....her and Jim spent the weekend together. As he said, "she is hitting the terrible 2's when she is almost 3"....honey, that is why they call that the "horrible 3's". Despite that it does sound like they had a great weekend, that had it's moments. :) I do have to say, I wish she would have been a perfect angel for him all weekend, but I am really glad that she wasn't so that he got to see what my weekends are like when he isn't there. :)

Speaking about Jim.....he went hunting a couple weekends ago and got a deer....a big doe. Unfortunately, that was the only deer they got all weekend. There are still a few other weekends for bow and muzzle loader hunting...we are hoping one of them gets another deer. But way to go honey!!!

And about the potty training....good greif, she knows when she has to go, knows when she is wet and hates being wet....but do you think she will go on the potty??? NO! She is adamant about not going on the potty chair! Daycare (Connie) has tried every trick she knows....every 1/2 hours she will put Sydney on the potty chair, regardless if she has to go or not....Sydney hates it...She will sit there for a while and when she gets off, not 2 minutes later, she is wet. When she does that, she gets a time out. UGH! She totally gets it....but I have no idea what her deal is. We have told her that when she starts using the potty chair we will get her a fish...she is super excited about it, but when you ask if she wants to use the potty, the answer is a definite NO! So this coming weekend, we don't have anything going....so, that means she doesn't get to wear diapers at all (except for naps and bedtime) and if she has to go potty, then she will either have to go in the potty or pee her pants (I am hoping this doesn't happen much, if at all....I know that is a big wish)....I refuse to put a diaper on! We'll see how that goes.....

That is all for us...no new pictures though. I'm sure I have a few on my camera, but nothing of real significance.

Trick or Treat!

Sydney had so much fun this year! She was the cutest giraffe!! They had a Halloween Party at daycare, so she got to take her costume with her. They paraded around the neighborhood, pinned the nose on the pumpkin, played pumpkin, pumpkin, ghost and bobbed for marshmellows....wish I could have seen that. She had so much fun! Thankfully, Halloween was on a Friday, because we had a lot places to go to....we went around our new neighborhood....she had a blast (and we got to meet our neighbors)! It didn't take her long to figure out when you say "trick or treat", she would get candy. After our neighborhood, we headed to our old daycare's house (Georgie)....it was great seeing her...then on to our old neighborhood, saw some old friends and our old house. They have already done a ton of great stuff (the luck of having a month after closing to do all this stuff before moving in), they were gracious enough to invite us in to show us all the things done. On to Uncle Terry's and last stop was at Grandpa and Grandma Jagow's. In all, she had a ton of fun....and love's chocolate. She is definitely my kid! haha!

Daddy was a "Hockey fan" and Sydney...check out her hand, she got into the candy even before we left.

I love the tail....
