Blueheels

On Memorial Day weekend, we (Sydney & I) headed to Austin on a whim. Christy knew that we didn't have anything going on for the weekend, other than that I needed to work some. She texts me while we were at the Farmer's Market and asks if I want to go to Austin and go out with them to see a band. What? Long story short, we went (I couldn't go to Austin without Sydney....I would have never heard the end of it from my mom or my dad) and we were there for less than 24 hours. We visited with the Bottema family (and their grandparents too...it was so nice to see them!), had a quick dinner with my mom, kissed Sydney good-bye and off to the bar I went. We had a great time. The band was good (Blueheels...hence the title of the post, although I never took a picture of them...oh well!), had one too many cocktails....but not to bad of hangover. Had 5.5 hours of sleep before I was woke up by a very energetic 2 year old saying "hi mommy!". Really, do I have to get up?? Yep! Off to breakfast with my dad, brother and Jessie...and we were back on the road. Made a quick stop at the outlet mall...was home by 2:00 and Sydney and I were down for a nap not long after that! It was fun...but I was exhausted! :) Love ya girls...thanks for helping me escape from work for awhile!
