Des Moines

We went to Des Moines this past weekend to visit family. It also happened to be my Uncle's retirement party and my cousin's farewell party (moving to Alaska). We enjoyed dinner at the Tavern (yummy pizza and the first big splurge on our diet since we started two months ago) on Friday night! Saturday, we went to my aunts to visit with my grandma. My dad and brother were there too. We finally got some four generation photo's (see below). Saturday night, Jim and I went to the party and Sydney stayed with my mom and Connie. We all had a great time! It was nice to see a few old family friends that I haven't seen in years. It was also nice to see my uncle, aunt and cousins, whom I haven't seen since our wedding...four years ago. We were able to spend lots of quality time with everyone and had a great time!!
